As part of the endeavor to nurture, strengthen & develop ‘21st Century Skills’ in school going children, MI Champs India has been conducting Math, Science and English Olympiads for the past many years.
About the Olympiad Exams
The MI Champs India ‘Olympiad’ Exams, namely the All India Math Challenge Exam (AIMCE), the All India Science Challenge Exam (AISCE) and the All India English Challenge Exam (AIECE) are for students from Class III-X. A brief about each exam with specific details on the conduct of the exams, is given below.
The All India Math Challenge Exam (AIMCE) is a national level exam which has been developed to improve the reasoning and mathematical abilities of school students. Through the preparation for this exam, students get to re-learn and practice the basic skills they learned at school. The AIMCE gives young students a platform to examine their skills and strengthen their abilities absorbed at school.
The All India Science Challenge Exam (AISCE) is a national level exam which has been developed for students to gain a deeper grasp of scientific ideas. The focus of the exam is on application-based learning, the insights that student gather, about their learning, are very beneficial for the long term. The ‘challenges’ faced in the exam are more intellectual and difficult, developing the student to grasp the material being taught in school better. Students learn to think in an application-oriented manner and learn to respond to different problems in varied ways.
The All India English Challenge Exam (AICE) is a national level exam developed to improve the vocabulary, syntax, sentence construction, and language abilities of the student. Because the acquisition of language is an eternal process, acquisition of language skills requires practice, focused attention toward the subject, and commitment. In preparation for and writing the AICE, students gain these important skills.
The specific details on the conduct of the exams, is given below:
Grades covered in the exam: Grade 3 to Grade 10
Boards & Syllabus Covered: CBSE, ICSE and SSC school syllabus. The syllabus covered till November 2023 would be applicable for the exam.
Total Number of Questions: 40 Questions (OMR Based)
Total Marks: 40 Marks (1 mark per question)
Duration of the Exam: 1 Hour (60 Minutes)
Mode of the Exam: Offline
Cost of the exam: Rs.150/- (Rupees One Hundred and Fifty Only) per child per exam.
Centre for the exam: Your respective school
Last Date to Register for Level 1: August 30th, 2024.
The exams, happening on September 28th 2024, will be considered Level 1 exams. The top 20% of students of each class are eligible to write the level 2 exam. Please follow this space for more updates.
Prizes for the Exam
All candidates who participate in the exam would be getting a certificate of participation and the top 3 students, in the state, would be getting a certificate of merit. Apart from this, the school wise and class wise topper would also receive a medal.
Additionally the top 3 toppers of the exam would be getting the below prizes:
1st Prize – Laptop, 2nd Prize – Tab & 3rd Prize – Alexa.
